The INTRACOR® procedure uses a high-tech laser called the TECHNOLAS® Femtosecond Laser, a state-of-the-art laser technology from Germany. “The entire procedure is performed without making a single surgical incision through the surfaces of the cornea as the laser is targeted to only work within the cornea, in an area called the stroma. The INTRACOR® procedure uses the Femtosecond Laser to make a series of precise, microscopic concentric ring patterns in the stroma which result in a minor alteration to the corneal curvature to compensate for the presbyopia,” explained Dr. Noparat.
“The INTRACOR® innovation is widely accepted in Europe not only with a success rate of 4,000 cases but also the incredible speed of less than 20 seconds to perform,” added Dr. Noparat.
INTRACOR® technique provides flapless intrastromal correction to achieve reshaping of the cornea. This can be achieved while maintaining the integrity of the corneal surface. INTRACOR® treatment is an effective solution for presbyopia.
